Ann was honored to speak at the TAPS CLE Seminar this morning about “Lessons Learned: How to Respond to Administrative Charges of Discrimination.”  We’re happy she could support the State Bar of Texas and arm their bright paralegals with tools for success!

We’re proud to support the Austin Young Lawyers Association and thoroughly enjoy teaching members in the AYLA Trial Academy program (see Mike Golden featured in article).  And congratulations to the AYLA for their recent honors from the Texas Young Lawyers Association and the American Bar Association!

Steven Garrett, who joined Boulette & Golden last year as Associate Attorney, has been named to the Board of Directors of Skillpoint Alliance, as reported in the Austin Business Journal. Offering highly effective programs, Skillpoint Alliance is a 501(c)3 social enterprise that builds partnerships among industry, education and the community, leading to college and career success for Central Texans, while meeting employers’ needs for a qualified workforce.

Our own Jason Boulette is a potential speaker at the SXSWi 2015 conference. This year, SXSW is using a voting process as one of their criteria for final selection.

Last night, Austin Monthly readers got the chance to mingle with this year’s most eligible bachelors and bid generously on fabulous prizes in the name of charity. Held at the W Austin, the Bachelor Issue Release Party and Auction raised more than $12,000 for The Shade Project, a charity that builds shaded playgrounds to help reduce skin cancer in children.

Our own Mike Golden was featured as one of the eligible bachelors and fetched more than $1,700 for his Lake Austin Getaway package. Friends and family showed their support with their attendance and enthusiasm, and egged on the audience to increase their bids.  We’re very proud of Mike and congratulate him on his terrific spirit and success in helping protect kids from the sun to prevent skin cancer!

Ever the philanthropist, Mike agreed to participate in the annual Austin Monthly Magazine “Bachelor” issue to raise money for the Shade Project of Austin event to help raise funds for a good cause.
